How Introverts Can Build Successful Private Practices

The Ones Who Say the Least Are Often the Ones With the Most To Say…

Confession:

Managing the energy of a lot of people can be quite challenging for me.  I’m an introvert by nature, although I’ve learned how to more or less transcend labels such as this.

Can you relate?

Do you often feel like your personality is at odds with your goals?  Like you have to be really outgoing and constantly put yourself out there to build a successful practice?

To be honest, those with bubbly, extraverted personalities do have an advantage in business… at least in the context of building relationships and making their clients feel at ease.

Here’s the good news:  If you’re more of an introvert, you also have some advantages.

You tend to offer more depth and substance in your work.  You see things on a deeper level and can articulate your insights in a way that helps your clients understand their situation.  You have a creative edge that helps you see out of the box.  You are sincere and thoughtful in the way you communicate which builds rapport quickly.

The BIG challenge of being an introvert is the tendency to hide.  You like being alone.  You often wish you could avoid all of the schmoozy networking stuff involved in business.  Because of this, it’s likely the case that not enough people know you exist.

You’re like a hidden diamond in your community.  The clients you do have LOVE you.  But, things feel blocked because it’s hard for you to show up every day and be a people person.

So, what’s the solution?

First, you have to focus on your strengths and OWN them.  Introverts tend to gloss over their best qualities and focus on what’s wrong with them.  In this context, you have to keep your focus on your creativity and depth as the basis of your marketing.

The best way to do this is through blogging, Facebook ads, and video.  Creating powerful content can totally replace the need to network and be a social dynamo.  I see the internet as the introvert’s best friend, as long as you utilize it in a healthy and productive fashion.

Don’t just hide behind your computer, waiting for people to call you.  Be proactive!  Create amazing content that helps people and inspires them to work with you.  As an introvert, you’ll likely attract a lot of introverts as patients.  They will LOVE you… as long as you are empowered in who you are, rather than a victim who thinks you’re limited by personality flaws.

In fact, in my coaching program Practice On Fire, I’d say about ⅔ of the group is made up of introverts.  So, if you want to join us, you’d be in great company.  I can help you get the exposure you need to thrive in your practice, along with tapping into your strengths so that inner confidence replaces doubt.

I tell many of my clients, the people who say the least are often the ones with the most to say.

Undoubtedly, YOU have a lot to say.  It’s imperative that you find your voice if you’re going to run a healthy, profitable business.
